Patna, January 13 (). In the political environment of Bihar, the discussion regarding Dahi-Chuda feast and upcoming political activities on the occasion of Makar Sankranti has intensified. Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) national president Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday openly expressed his views on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s upcoming ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ and his son Nishant Kumar’s entry into politics.
Speaking to reporters in Patna, Tej Pratap Yadav said, “Nitish Kumar’s Samriddhi Yatra is starting from January 16. We wish him all the best. Let him continue the journey. It is not certain whether it will yield any benefit or not. The journey should be allowed to happen, and the results will be known only later.” Calling it a part of political strategy, he said that the public will take the final decision.
Tej Pratap Yadav adopted a positive stance when Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar became active in politics. He said, “Nishant is young and vibrant and moving forward. He represents the youth. Being a youth, our best wishes are with him. He should definitely come forward and actively participate in politics.”
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Tej Pratap Yadav has organized a dahi-chuda feast at his house. He told, “Invitations have been sent to ministers, MLAs and some senior leaders. Everyone has been invited on the occasion of Chuda-Dahi. The purpose is to forget the political fights for some time and celebrate the beginning of the New Year as per Hindu tradition. A feast has been organised. All the leaders have been called and the preparations will be completed by tomorrow. It is expected that everyone will come.”
Before this, Tej Pratap arrived to attend the Dahi-Chuda banquet organized at the house of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha. During this, he told, “Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha had called me, and I came, what is the problem in it? I have also called him, and he will also come. Politics is different; our thoughts are our own. I have come to attend the Dahi-Chuda banquet.”
