Chandigarh. Deepender Hooda’s answer to the question in Parliament provided another proof of the rejection of BJP government in Haryana. When Lok Sabha MP Deepender Hooda asked for complete details of the plan to develop important RRTS corridors like Delhi-Rohtak-Hisar and Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal, the current status of feasibility study, consultation with state governments and the time frame under consideration for such expansion, former Haryana Chief Minister and current Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar replied that at present the Haryana government is planning to develop RRTS corridors between Delhi-Rohtak-Hisar and Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal. No detailed project report (DPR) for RRTS connectivity has been submitted to the Central Government. MP Deepender Hooda said that this answer proves that the present BJP government is not able to protect the interests of Haryana, because development work in Haryana is not in their agenda. He said that there is a deliberate delay in connecting Haryana to the RRTS network. Important RRTS corridors like Delhi-Rohtak-Hisar and Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal, which could have proved to be a lifeline for millions of passengers and industries of Haryana, are still closed in the files. The surprising thing is that till date the Haryana government has not even submitted any Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Center for these projects. Whereas, on April 5, 2018, MP Deepender Hooda met the then Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri and got the demand for completing the work of RRTS as well as preparing detailed project report of Delhi-Rohtak-Hisar and Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal RRTS also approved. But, due to the indifferent attitude of the negative government of Haryana, the work of connecting the cities here by rapid rail is in trouble. Deependra Hooda said that during the Bhupendra Hooda-led Congress government in 2010, 5 High Speed Rail (RRTS) corridors for Haryana were proposed to the Central Government and included in the action plan of the NCR Planning Board in the year 2012. These included Delhi–Faridabad–Ballabhgarh–Palwal, Delhi–Bahadurgarh–Rohtak-Hisar, Delhi-Sonepat-Panipat, Delhi-Gurugram-Rewari-Alwar and Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut. But after the change of government in 2014, the current Haryana government put all these works on hold. They kept demanding to start the work. At the same time, the 82.15 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is fully operational today. This proves that the BJP government, which pats itself on the back by calling itself a double engine government in Haryana, is a complete failure. He said that if the Congress government is formed, the work of all RRTS corridors of Haryana will be completed on war footing. Deepender Hooda further said that on March 13, 2023, when he asked for details of the work on the rapid rail corridors of Haryana in the Parliament, the then Minister of State for Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore, said that neither approval has been given nor any amount has been allocated by the Central Government in relation to the Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat, Delhi-Gurgaon-Alwar, Delhi-Rohtak-Hisar and Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal corridors. MP Deependra said that since 2014, Haryana has gone off the track of development in every aspect and the interests of the state are continuously suffering huge losses. If all these RRTS corridors were built, it would directly benefit lakhs of youth of the state, employees and workers who come to Delhi daily.
