Dubai, 22 September (). Indian cricket team explosive batsman Abhishek Sharma scored an explosive half-century against Pakistan at the Dubai Cricket Stadium in the Asia Cup 2025 Super-4 match. During this, he broke the record of his guru Yuvraj Singh.
Abhishek Sharma scored 74 runs with 5 sixes and 6 fours off 39 balls. During this innings, he scored a half -century off 24 balls. This is the fastest half -century of any Indian in T20 against Pakistan. Earlier this record was in the name of Yuvraj Singh. In 2012, Yuvraj Singh scored a half -century against Pakistan in 29 balls in Ahmedabad. Abhishek was adjudged Player of the Match for his explosive innings.
Abhishek Sharma along with Shubman Gill played an important role in winning India. India successfully completed the operation white ball against Pakistan by adding 105 runs in 9.5 overs for the first wicket. Gill was dismissed for 47 runs off 28 balls. Pakistan had given a target of 172 runs to India. The Indian team won the match by 6 wickets by scoring 174 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 18.5 overs. Tilak Verma 30 and Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten after scoring 7 runs. Samson was dismissed for 13 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan had scored 171 runs for 5 wickets forced to bat first after losing the toss. Openers Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman scored 21 runs in 2.3 overs. Fakhar was dismissed for 15 runs in 9 balls. Sahibzada Farhan scored 72 runs for the second wicket with Saim Ayub. Saim contributed 21 runs in 17 balls to the team’s account. Hussain Talat landed at number four to bat. He scored 10 runs in 11 balls, while Sahibzada Farhan added 58 runs in 45 balls. His innings included 3 sixes and 5 fours.
The Pakistani team lost their fourth wicket on a score of 115. From here, Mohammad Nawaz shared a 34 -run partnership for the fifth wicket with captain Salman Aga and brought Pakistan to a challenging situation. Pakistan scored 17 runs in the 18th over of the innings. Mohammad Nawaz was run out in 18.3 overs. Nawaz added 21 runs to the team’s account, while Salman Aga scored 17 runs.
