– More than Rs 1,355 crore of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi transferred to the accounts of farmers in the state
Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that farmers are the soul of the country. In his honour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the accounts of crores of farmer families. These include more than 66 lakh 76 thousand farmers of Rajasthan, who have received an amount of more than Rs 1 thousand 355 crore. He said that our government stands with the farmers in every situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing the handover program of the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration ceremony of various development projects in Guwahati, Assam on Friday. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma joined the Prime Minister’s program through the VC from the State Agricultural Management Institute, Durgapura and also heard his address.
In this context, Sharma said in his address that farmers are always the priority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the last years, under his leadership, new thinking has come in the policy related to farmers. Now farmers are considered the strength of the country. He said that it is the determination of the Prime Minister that the farmers of India should become prosperous. Many schemes have been made in this direction, among which the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is the main one.
Insurance claims worth Rs 6 thousand 473 crore distributed under crop insurance scheme
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working with full commitment to protect the interests of the farmers and their welfare. In this sequence, Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been implemented in the state, under which eligible farmers are being given an additional honorarium of Rs 3,000 every year by the state government. He said that the state government is determined to increase the amount of this Samman Nidhi to Rs 12 thousand in a phased manner. In the crop insurance scheme, more compensation is being given for the losses than the previous government. Under this scheme, so far insurance claims worth Rs 6 thousand 473 crore have been distributed in the state.
Agriculture budget in the year 2026-27 Rs 1 lakh 19 thousand 408 crore
Sharma said that keeping in mind the welfare of farmers, our government has kept the agriculture budget at Rs 1 lakh 19 thousand 408 crore for the year 2026-27, a historic 34 percent increase compared to the last year of the previous government, 2023-24. At the same time, under the Chief Minister Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme, free insurance policies for more than 16 lakh animals have been issued so far and claims are being distributed continuously to the policy holders. He said that 536 mobile veterinary vehicles are serving the villages. Under Rajasthan Cooperative Gopal Credit Card Scheme, interest-free loan up to Rs 1 lakh is available to cattle herders. Loans worth more than Rs 682 crore have been disbursed so far under this scheme.
Rajasthan leading in ‘Cooperation to prosperity’ initiative
The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is the leading state in the country in effectively implementing the initiatives of ‘Cooperation to Prosperity’. In this sequence, construction of 500 metric ton capacity warehouses has been completed in the state under the food storage scheme. In the budget for the year 2026-27, a provision has also been made for the construction of 50 warehouses of 500 metric tons capacity. At the same time, the storage capacity is continuously increasing due to construction of new warehouses of 250 and 100 metric tons capacity and renovation of old warehouses.
Farmers got interest free short term crop loan of more than Rs 50 thousand crores
Sharma said that there is a provision of additional bonus of Rs 150 on support price purchase of wheat in the state. So far, interest-free short-term crop loans worth more than Rs 50 thousand crore have been provided to more than 78 lakh farmers. Farmers are getting electricity during the day in 22 districts of Rajasthan. Our government has given subsidy of Rs 50 thousand 833 crore on electricity bills and released more than 2 lakh new agricultural connections. He said that short term loans worth Rs 25 thousand crore will be distributed to 35 lakh farmers. For this, an interest subsidy of Rs 800 crore will be given. At the same time, about 80 thousand farmers will also be given a grant of more than Rs 585 crore for the construction of diggi, irrigation pipeline and farm pond.
Grant of Rs 2 thousand 648 crore given to cow shelters so far
The Chief Minister said that to make farmers self-reliant in the field of solar energy, 59 thousand solar pumps have been installed, on which a grant of Rs 921 crore has been given. With the aim of increasing production with less water, drip and sprinkler plants have been installed in 2 lakh 11 thousand hectares. A grant of Rs 888 crore has been given on this. He said that Rs 490 crore has been spent on the construction of diggies and farm pounds in the fields. The grant for cow shelters has been increased by 25 percent and so far a grant of Rs 2,648 crore has been given.
Important work done towards doubling farmer’s income and reducing costs
Sharma said that as per the intention of the Prime Minister, many important works have been done in the country towards doubling the income of farmers and reducing the costs. Modi approved the release of Kisan Samman Nidhi on the very first day of his third term as Prime Minister, indicating his priority for farmer welfare and service.
73 percent promises of resolution letter fulfilled
The Chief Minister said that necessary steps have been taken on many water projects for farmers including Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement. Our government has done more work for farmer welfare in just two and a quarter years compared to the five years of the previous government. At the same time, 73 percent of the promises in the manifesto have also been fulfilled. He said that a large number of women in rural areas are involved in animal husbandry. Therefore, the state government is giving a subsidy of Rs 5 per liter on milk.
Till now, appointments have been made on more than 1.25 lakh posts.
Sharma said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, work is being done for the welfare of the poor, youth, Annadata and women. Papers used to be leaked during the previous government, but now during our tenure not a single paper has been leaked. He said that during the Prime Minister’s visit to Ajmer, appointment letters were given to more than 21 thousand youth. Till now, appointments have been given on more than 1.25 lakh posts in the state. At the same time, recruitment on 1 lakh 35 thousand posts is under process. He said that in the year 2026, instead of one lakh posts, it has also been announced to release the calendar for recruitment on 1 lakh 25 thousand posts.
Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma are working for the welfare of farmers, women, youth and the poor. Prime Minister Modi is giving Kisan Samman Nidhi. In the same direction, the Chief Minister has also done the work of giving Samman Nidhi of Rs 3 thousand to the farmers of the state, due to which now the amount received from the Central and State Government has become Rs 9 thousand.
Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge) Gautam Kumar Dak said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done many works in the interest of farmers in the last 12 years. This includes important works like doubling the income of farmers and increasing the support price of various crops. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, work is being done on many important projects to provide water for irrigation to the farmers of the state.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Principal Government Secretary Agriculture and Horticulture Manju Rajpal along with senior officials and a large number of farmers were present.
