Five coaches of the Zaffar Express train derailed due to an explosion on the railway track in Pakistan’s Sindh province on Tuesday. Many people were injured in this accident which took place in Shikarpur district of Sindh. After the incident, police and paramilitary forces cordoned off the area and started investigation. Hours after the blast, Pakistan accused India. Pakistan’s Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi has said that there is a foreign hand behind this blast. Abbas is the same minister who threatened India with nuclear attack over the Indus Water Treaty.

The Jaffar Express, which runs between two important cities of Pakistan, Quetta and Peshawar, has been targeted several times in recent months. In March this year, hundreds of passengers were taken hostage in a deadly attack on a train. Pakistan had also accused India for this incident. Now, once again, a Pakistani minister has alleged foreign involvement in the blast on the railway track.

India is planning attacks
According to Dawn, Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi held India responsible for the repeated attacks on the Zafar Express and alleged foreign involvement. Abbasi said that so far this year there have been seven attacks on Zafar Express. He further said that Indian agencies are directly responsible for the repeated attacks on Zafar Express. Abbasi further said, “There is no doubt that the terrorists who have repeatedly targeted the Zafar Express are getting India’s support. This time, the terrorists chose the railway track near Shikarpur (Sindh). Such cowardly attacks will not stop Pakistan Railways from suspending the Zafar Express. Security of the tracks and trains will be further tightened.”

Abbasi has been giving statements
This is not the first case of Hanif Abbasi giving anti-India statement. He has earlier also issued threats to India to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. Abbasi had then said that if India stopped water from Pakistan, a befitting reply would be given. Our missiles are targeting India. We also have nuclear bombs, and India should not forget this.
