Mumbai India has qualified for the Super-8 by defeating Pakistan in the T-20 World Cup match in Colombo, Sri Lanka. On this, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Waris Pathan said that no one is born to defeat India. Speaking to in Mumbai, AIMIM leader Waris Pathan said that India has always won against Pakistan and will continue to win. Pakistan has no standing in front of India. However, we believed that India should not have played the match against Pakistan. Pakistan promotes terrorist activities. We broke all relations with Pakistan. But, let’s play matches for a few rupees. He said that when we cannot shake hands then we should not even play the match. On the statement of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tipu Sultan controversy, Waris Pathan said that Devendra Fadnavis should first read history, he should know who defeated the British and who was martyred while fighting against them. Tipu Sultan was the one who fought bravely against the British. His picture is in the Constitution because of its historical importance. Why do you praise only the people associated with the Sangh, who wrote mercy petitions again and again while sitting in jail.
Waris Pathan said that BJP and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra only know how to spread hatred. If Fadnavis reads the Constitution, he will praise Tipu Sultan.
On the temple purification issue after former minister Abdul Sattar visited the temple on Mahashivratri, Waris Pathan said that Abdul Sattar should tell why he had gone to the temple. People like Sattar do such things to please their political masters.
When Congress leader Harshvardhan Sapkal compared Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Tipu Sultan, Waris Pathan said that we respect and honor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Only Congress leaders can give a better answer as to why they made the comparison.
He said that Tipu Sultan was a brave warrior who made the British taste defeat. He was martyred fighting against them.
