New Delhi, July 24 (). Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a video message late on Thursday night assuring the youth and common people of the country that the government is in favor of taking strict action on the issue of paper leak. A draft related to this will be presented in the cabinet meeting to be held on Friday.
PM said that I know that paper leak is not a trivial matter. It is very painful for lakhs of students and their parents, hence many steps have been taken in the last two and a half months to deal with the incident of paper leak. The culprits have been caught and are in jail. Our most important responsibility was to ensure that not one year of the students was wasted.
He further said that it was necessary to take the test immediately. Using full power, the government arranged the examination of 22 lakh students in minimum time. The results also came 5 to 6 days ago, on the 19th. There are also happy reports of students passing out across the country. But we are not among those who believe in complacency, that is why I gave instructions to the departments today. Today, the departments worked hard and submitted their drafts late at night. The draft with provisions for fast track courts and harsher punishment will be discussed in the cabinet on Friday.
PM Modi further said that it will be finalized after suggestions from cabinet colleagues. The second week of Parliament is starting from Monday, then efforts will be made to pass this bill in the House as soon as possible.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and said that the welfare of the youth of the country and their future is our top priority. In order to give stringent punishment to the culprits in all paper leak cases as soon as possible, fast track courts will be constituted for speedy disposal of the cases. Instructions have been given in this regard that the concerned departments should ensure necessary action.
He further said that this is an important step in the series of decisions being taken by the government to safeguard the interests of students. Anyone playing with the future of the youth will not be spared.
