Chandigarh/Batala 27 September (). The Punjab Police, while running a historic campaign, has extradited the desired terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module from Abu Dhabi (UAE).
This action was possible with the cooperation of CBI, Ministry of External Affairs and other central agencies. DGP Gaurav Yadav gave this information on Saturday.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Pindi is a close aide of notorious terrorists Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Pasia. He has been involved in serious crimes like petrol bomb attacks, violence and recovery in Batala-Gurdaspur area. He used to finance and coordinate crimes through social media platforms.
On the request of Batala police, the CBI issued a red corner notice against him through Interpol. He was detected in the UAE based on the notice. On September 24, a four -member team of Punjab Police reached Abu Dhabi and completed the formalities of extradition and brought the accused to India and put them in the dock of justice.
SSP Batala Suhail Qasim Mir said that Pindi’s arrest has broken an important link in the international terrorist network. This action is a message that long hands of the law can reach any extent.
The DGP described the extradition campaign as a proof of the Punjab Police’s zero tolerance policy and its active role globally against terrorism and organized crime.
At the same time, the DGP of Punjab Police posted a post on the official social media platform ‘X’, ‘In a historic campaign, Punjab Police with the coordination and cooperation of the central agencies, with the coordination and cooperation of the central agencies, adorned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi from Abu Dhabi, UAE to India. Pindi, abroad -based terrorists Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Pasia are close associates and are involved in many heinous crimes including petrol bomb attacks, violent attacks and extortion in Batala, Gurdaspur region.
He wrote in the post, ‘We are grateful to the Union Agencies, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the United Arab Emirates for their invaluable cooperation in this joint effort to maintain justice and strengthen national security.’
