BJP spokespersons say that comparing the functioning of the Modi government to the previous governments of the Congress is enough to respond to the opposition. The BJP argues that under Modi’s leadership, India has increased its credibility globally, economic reforms have been done and the schemes have directly benefited. In such a situation, the challenge of Rahul Gandhi’s debate is only an attempt to make headlines in the media. BJP leaders also say that Narendra Modi’s popularity and acceptance in the public is not a fascinator of any debate. According to him, when the public has been constantly making him Prime Minister, the demand like debate is only a sign of the Congress’ frustration.
