Giriraj Aggarwal. Jaipur

During the discussion on the Governor’s address in the Rajasthan Assembly on Thursday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, during his reply, tried to corner the Congress on the scams, schemes and issues like electricity, water and law and order during his tenure. A heated argument was witnessed between Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the opposition Congress during the reply to the debate on the motion of thanks moved by the ruling party on the address in the Assembly.
Meanwhile, accepting the challenge of Congress, the Chief Minister said that he is fully ready for a detailed discussion in the Assembly on the performance of five years of Congress government and two years of his present BJP government. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the opposition has challenged me for a debate on five years versus two years and I accept it. I am placing all the documents related to this on the table of the House. Mr. Speaker, please fix the day and time for the debate – I am fully ready for this debate.
After hearing the Chief Minister’s reply, the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 11 am on February 11. During this, Congress MLAs were seen creating ruckus again and again. The first time when the Chief Minister rejected the allegations related to the Special Investigation Report (SIR) and the second time when he expressed his readiness for the two years versus five years debate.
During this, Bhajan Lal Sharma said, when power was in hand, there was power in one hand and recommendations for relatives in the other. The exams took place, but the questions were already in the pockets. Hardworking youth were ignored. Indirectly targeting Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara, he said that when he was in power, people were sent for help to special ‘Bada’ where decisions were taken. He further said, “Honesty is in service, not in leisure. The youth do not want speeches, but fair examinations.”
The Chief Minister alleged that the Congress left a debt of more than Rs 5.79 lakh crore and the BJP government worked to improve it. Making fun of the opposition for not being able to see development, he said, “If the opposition is not able to see development, I can also get glasses fitted.”
Opposition leader Tikaram Julie targeted the government and said that the government is focusing on branding but not on work. He said, “Whether work is done or not, branding is going on. The Chief Minister makes reels. A branding contract worth Rs 8 crore was given. YouTube channels were created, but they do not even have 100 views.” Julie also raised the administrative instability and Vande Mataram controversy and questioned which part was removed which caused the uproar. He said he would wait for a reply, but no ruling party member responded.
