Jodhpur. To commemorate the completion of two years of the present state government, a grand event of ‘Run for Vikas Rajasthan 2025’ was organized at the district level on Sunday. The objective of this event was to connect the common people with the resolve to adopt a healthy lifestyle as well as develop Rajasthan. The race was inaugurated by city MLA Atul Bhansali and Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh by flagging off from the Collectorate premises. On this occasion, District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ashish Kumar Mishra and Additional Chief Executive Officer Ganpatlal Suthar were also present. On the occasion of the inauguration of the race, city MLA Atul Bhansali said that healthy body and healthy mind are very important for every person of the society including students. He said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has connected the entire world with India’s ancient health tradition by giving international recognition to Yoga Day. In this context, such events inspire the youth to adopt fitness and disciplined lifestyle. He called upon all the participants to make regular exercise a part of life.
District Sports Officer Bharat Singh Gurjar said that the race started from the Collectorate premises and ended again at the Collectorate premises via Ghoomar Hotel Road, Raika Bagh Pulia and Pawta intersection. Tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the participants on the designated route.
He told that in this race, along with the students of school and college education, officers-employees and participants of various departments including NCC/NSS, Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Municipal Corporation, Police Department, RAC, Sports Department, Chief Medical and Health Department, Women and Child Development Department, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Zilla Parishad participated enthusiastically.
Officials and public representatives present during the program said that ‘Run for Developed Rajasthan 2025’ is not only a race, but it is a people’s movement to build a healthy, strong and developed Rajasthan. Such events infuse positive energy into the society and connect the youth with nation building.
