Bharatpur. In Halaina area of the district, women associated with Rajivika have protested strongly against the Sarpanches and made serious allegations regarding the payment for cleaning work in the villages. The women say that they are doing cleaning work regularly, but the payment has been stopped for the last seven months, while the Sarpanch demands half the money as bribe in return for releasing the payment.
Threat to cancel MOU, women are struggling with financial crisis. President of CLF Tiranga Rajivika Cluster, Manoj Meena said that many sarpanches have threatened to cancel even the MOU related to cleanliness and have issued notices, while the women are working continuously. Due to non-payment of payments, the economic crisis facing women has deepened.
Sarpanch side rejected the allegations
Sarpanch representative of Pali Gram Panchayat Prem Singh Nenha has clearly denied these allegations. He says that the women of Rajivika group are not doing the cleaning work properly and despite giving notice, the situation has not improved. He said that the complaint regarding the matter has been sent to the concerned authorities.
Allegation of changing the amount by applying whitener on bills
The women claim that the Sarpanch is manipulating the payments and the amount is changed by applying whitener on the bills. He said that despite complaints, they are not being heard and payments are being deliberately stopped.
The dispute reached the administration
The round of allegations and counter-allegations continues between sarpanches and women. After the growing controversy over the issue of stopping payment and alleged commission, the matter has now reached the administration, where demands for investigation and action are being raised.
