New Delhi/Srinagar, July 23 (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has responded to the claims of Union Health Minister JP Nadda regarding the SSB paper leak. Admitting about the paper leak, he said that this incident was of 2022. Also, Omar Abdullah said that at that time Jammu and Kashmir was not ruled by the National Conference and Congress, but by the Lieutenant Governor.

A day after JP Nadda’s press conference, on Thursday morning, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “JP Nadda ji, you are absolutely right about the SSB paper leak in Jammu and Kashmir, but you have given the wrong date. It is about 2022.”

He further wrote, “The government was not of NC (National Conference) and Congress. The government was led by the Lieutenant Governor, but thank you for drawing everyone’s attention to this failure.”

Omar Abdullah said, “This included these observations and orders of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. We do not know what happened to the high-level committee or its report. Perhaps you can share this information with us in your next press conference.”

Union Health Minister JP Nadda had held a press conference late on Wednesday evening regarding the opposition’s uproar over the issue of NEET paper leak. He raised the issue of paper leak in non-NDA ruled states. During this, JP Nadda had also mentioned Jammu and Kashmir.

Nadda said, “Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made a presentation in the Parliament, in which he mentioned about 150 paper leaks. This is a matter of investigation and our government will present its stand and facts before the public on each and every aspect related to this matter. On the basis of investigation, the truth will be brought out, so that there can be milk of milk and water of water. But today I want to discuss the incidents of some paper leaks.”

He said that the Service Selection Board examination paper was leaked in Jammu and Kashmir, where Congress and National Conference are in power. Apart from this, JP Nadda mentioned paper leaks and examination irregularities in Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Punjab, Kerala and Karnataka.

Union Minister asked Rahul Gandhi why his attitude on the paper leak issue is selective? Nadda asked, “Rahul Gandhi, please tell why he did not discuss about UPA and UPA supported governments?”
