Jabalpur . Minister Rakesh Singh has expressed deep sorrow over the Bargi Dam cruise accident in Madhya Pradesh. He said that this is an extremely painful and serious incident. The government will conduct a detailed investigation into this entire matter. If any kind of negligence is revealed in the investigation, strict action will be taken against those responsible. Also, necessary steps will be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future. Minister Rakesh Singh said that the rescue operation was hampered yesterday due to rain and darkness. The water is also very deep, which made the work more difficult. Since Friday morning, NDRF teams and specialist units of the Army have reached the spot and are working rapidly. He said that till now 9 bodies have been recovered and more than 22 people have been rescued safely. Rakesh Singh said that this is a very serious accident and any negligence or flaw found in it will be investigated. He assured that the government will thoroughly investigate the matter and action will be taken against whoever is responsible. He said that security arrangements and rules will be further strengthened to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future.
Bargi area MLA Neeraj Singh also expressed deep sorrow over this accident. He said that this incident is very painful and everyone is currently engaged in relief and rescue work. He said that NDRF, Army, local administration and many other teams are working together so that all the people can be evacuated as soon as possible. He also said that whoever comes out alive or dead, the entire matter will be investigated in detail to know how the cruise sank and what were the flaws in it.
Discussion is also going on regarding the warning of the Meteorological Department but the MLA said that the operation and permission was given only on the basis of the information available at that time. He said that only after investigation it will be clear where the mistake happened.
Meanwhile, MP Ashish Dubey also described this incident as very sad. He said that this accident is going to make everyone emotional. The rescue operation has been going on continuously since Thursday night and the operation has gained momentum again since Friday morning. He said that till now more than 22 people have been evacuated safely while some bodies have also been recovered. He expressed hope that the process of finding more dead bodies should stop and there should be some miracle so that no more dead bodies are found.
He told that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced to give an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of those killed in this accident. Along with this, he also said that the government is taking this entire matter seriously and a detailed investigation will be conducted after the rescue.
