Gadchiroli, April 4 (). A very shocking and filmy honey trap case has come to light in Armori city of Gadchiralli district of Maharashtra, in which a girl and her two associates have been accused of serious allegations of extorting lakhs of rupees from a young man by luring him into a love trap and later trying to take his life. This incident has created panic in the entire area and questions are being raised on law and order.
According to the information received, 26-year-old Krishna Maruti Lad, a resident of Armori, is associated with the hotel business and was also studying. About one and a half years ago, I was introduced to a 23-year-old girl named Shreya Hemke. This acquaintance gradually turned into a love affair. In the initial phase, the relationship between the two was normal and cordial, but after some time, due to the arrival of another young man in the life of the girl, disputes and tension started arising between the two.
Meanwhile, it is alleged that Shreya Hemke, along with her two associates Nitin Jodh and Raju Ambani, started blackmailing Krishna Lad as part of a well-planned conspiracy. The accused threatened to make public the private conversations (Whatsapp chatting) between Krishna and Shreya. Along with this, he and his family were also given death threats.
Suffering from the fear of defamation and social prestige, the youth gave an amount of around Rs 3 to 4 lakh to the accused from time to time. However, despite this the demands of the accused did not stop and they demanded an additional amount of Rs 15 lakh from the youth.
According to the victim, on March 14, between 8 to 8:15 pm, the accused stopped him on the Armori to Brahmapuri road and beat him up. Not only this, an attempt was also made to kill him by forcibly making him drink pesticide. The young man, who was in critical condition, called his brother to the spot, after which he was immediately admitted to the government hospital in Armory.
Due to his serious medical condition, he was referred for further treatment, first to a private hospital in Brahmapuri and later to a private hospital in Nagpur, where he was treated.
The victim’s family has alleged that despite the incident, the case was not registered by the police on time. Family members say that the accused are influential and allegedly have political connections, due to which there was initial hesitation on the part of the police. After repeated visits to the police station and requests from March 31 to April 3, a case was finally registered.
Armory Police has registered a crime in this case under sections 109, 308(4), 115(2), 126(2) and 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS 2023). This entire incident has not only highlighted the seriousness of organized crimes like honey trap, but has also raised questions about how important it is to provide timely justice and protection to the victims in such cases.
At present, the police is investigating the matter, and aspects of the role of the accused, mutual conspiracy, and alleged political patronage are also being investigated.
