Role of mother power is important in 'Developed India-2047', daughters must get HPV vaccine: Anandiben Patel

Lucknow, June 28 (). Governor and Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel said that active and effective participation of mother power is essential in achieving the goal of making India a developed nation by the year 2047. He appealed to mothers to get their daughters vaccinated with HPV vaccine and to women above 30 years of age to get regular health checkups and cancer screening done.

The Governor was addressing the ‘Matrishakti Conclave Ayodhya-2026’ organized at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya on Sunday as the chief guest.

Through the ‘Mother-Daughter Dialogue’ organized in the programme, subjects like education, health, women empowerment, values ​​and child development were discussed in detail. He said that events like Matrishakti Conclave are effective mediums of positive change in the society. The role of women in nation building is most important and their participation will be decisive in realizing the resolve of a developed India.

Appreciating the work being done by the district administration in the field of women and child development, the Governor said that the strong kitchen arrangement in all the Anganwadi centers of the district and providing hot and nutritious food to the children on regular basis is an exemplary initiative.

He also stressed on ensuring quality nutrition, regular attendance, organizing competitions, training of workers and continuous monitoring of supervisors and CDPOs in Anganwadi centres. He stressed the need to give top priority to nutrition of pregnant women, full vaccination of children, pulse polio campaign and balanced diet. He also said that the need of the hour is to protect children from the ill effects of mobile phones and social media and connect them with Indian culture, moral values ​​and ideals of great men.

He called upon the adolescent girls to become self-reliant by getting higher education and to stay away from wrong company. During the programme, the Governor visited the exhibitions of various departments and the materials provided under CSR.

The Health Department administered HPV vaccine to 200 girls and pulse polio dose to 10 children. On this occasion, under the Vidyashakti initiative, books were distributed to five self-help groups, ornamental fisheries kits to one group, smartphones to five Anganwadi workers, appointment letters to seven assistants and citation letters to various beneficiaries.

In the programme, students from various schools gave cultural presentations and students who performed excellently were honoured. District Panchayat President Roli Singh also suggested organizing regular ‘Mother-Daughter Dialogue’ programs at all Anganwadi centres.
