Assembly correspondent, Jaipur.

There was a lot of commotion in the House during the budget session of Rajasthan Assembly on Tuesday. There was a heated debate between Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara and Education Minister Madan Dilawar, while the opposition fiercely cornered the government on the issues of paper leak and education system. Dotasara vs Dilawar: “Don’t divide education”
Govind Singh Dotasara, while targeting Education Minister Madan Dilawar, said that the level of education in the state is falling. He alleged that teachers’ duty is sometimes being used to drive away dogs and sometimes to engage in Ramkatha, due to which enrollment in schools has reduced by 2.5 lakh.
Answer: Minister Dilawar retaliated by repeating the old allegations of corruption against Dotasara, on which the Leader of Opposition objected and the Speaker directed to remove those words from the proceedings.
Sarcasm: Dotasara said, “I don’t take Dilawar’s allegations seriously. My grandfather had said that don’t throw a stone in the mud, it will bounce and fall on you.”
Open challenge on paper leak
Dotasara challenged the government and said that if you have courage then get a CBI investigation done in the paper leak cases of the last 12 years. He claimed that if this happens the government will fall. He also said that the Education Minister talks about sending him to jail every day, but he “takes bath and gets ready every day, but never comes to jail.”
Other major issues and announcements
Wildlife Attack: Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma announced that the compensation amount in case of death due to wildlife attack will be increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
Yamuna water deal: Dotasara alleged that the government has mortgaged Rajasthan’s interests to Haryana and demanded that ERCP be declared a national project.
Question on Health Department: Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie and Harimohan Sharma cornered Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar over the cut in the budget of ‘Free Medicine Scheme’ and deaths due to cough syrup.
interesting incident
Citing the 81 tweets made by the Education Minister during Ramkatha, Dotasara said that the Minister did not even make 8 tweets in 2 years for innovation in education. Taking a dig at the discussion about his ‘dance’, he said that Modi ji took away his towel, but the minister himself was clapping in the story.
