India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar spoke over phone with his counterparts from Iran, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar on Sunday 5 April 2026. This diplomatic discussion is considered very important in view of the increasing conflict and tension between America, Israel and Iran in the Middle East. Iran: This was the sixth conversation with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi since the beginning of the West Asia crisis. Both sides shared views on regional and international developments.
UAE: The changing circumstances in West Asia were discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Queue: Apart from the conflict, the focus was also on the gas supply chain in talks with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman.
