Patna, October 12 (). The picture became clear regarding seat sharing in the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. In this election, there will be no elder brother between JDU and BJP, rather both the parties will contest on 101-101 seats.
Several meetings took place in Delhi and Patna regarding seat sharing, after which seat sharing was approved.
According to NDA seat sharing, BJP and JDU will contest assembly elections on 101 seats each, while ally LJP (Ram Vilas) has got 29 seats and RLM and HAM have got 6 seats each.
Announcing this, BJP’s election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and wrote, “NDA colleagues have completed the distribution of seats in a cordial atmosphere. JDU 101, BJP 101, LJP (Ram Vilas) 29, Rashtriya Lok Morcha six and Hindustani Awam Morcha six.”
He further wrote, “Leaders and workers of all parties of NDA welcome it with joy and are determined and united to make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister again with an overwhelming majority. Bihar is ready, NDA government again.”
JDU’s National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha has also shared this information on social networking site ‘X’.
The first phase of Bihar assembly elections will be held on 6 November and the second phase on 11 November. Counting of votes will take place on November 14. The main contest in this election is believed to be between the NDA led by BJP and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) and the grand alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The grand alliance is trying to oust Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is leading the NDA, from power. Hindustani Awam Morcha, LJP (Ram Vilas) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha are included in the NDA. However, in the electoral battle of Bihar, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party has also laid claim to all the 243 seats in the state.
