Jaipur. A huge crowd of jewelery lovers was seen at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center on Saturday, the second day of the country’s leading B2B and B2C jewelery exhibition ‘Jaipur Jewelery Show’ (JJS). About 14,000 visitors attended the second day. The venue remained vibrant throughout the day with enthusiastic participation of jewelery retailers, traders and buyers from India and abroad. A wonderful confluence of traditional and modern designs is being seen in the exhibition. This year, the show focused on colored gemstones and the wide range of gold, diamond, kundan, polki, and silver jewelery is also attracting the visitors. At the same time, designer booths at the show have also become a topic of discussion among the visitors. It is noteworthy that the theme of this four-day show to be held till December 22 is ‘Coloured Gemstones- Shaping Dreams in Every Color’.
According to Rajiv Jain, Honorary Secretary, JJS, visitors are not only shopping for jewelery but also interacting directly with stall owners and designers to get the latest information on jewelery trends, manufacturing process and market. At the same time, from the business point of view, this show is proving to be an efficient platform for retailers and traders for networking and new business opportunities. During the show, a successful meeting was held between the JJS Organizing Committee and the first-time Taiwan delegation. At the meeting, the Taiwan delegation expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and business opportunities of the show and expressed their desire to participate in JJS again next year. It is noteworthy that 90 percent of the members of the Taiwan delegation had come to India for the first time.
‘Uncut’ Unfiltered Dialogues Segment
Two interesting discussions were organized at JJS under ‘Uncut’ Unfiltered Dialogues segment. As part of this, Rajeev Jain, Honorary Secretary, JJS and expert in Colored Gemstones, shared his visionary thinking and deep industry experiences during a coffee session with Chetan Mehta, CMD, Lakshmi Diamonds. He said that JJS considers itself its biggest competitor in terms of quality and service and continuously strives to raise the benchmark and improve with every edition. Emphasizing on the lasting value of jewellery, Jain said that jewelery is a product whose value never decreases. Throwing light on the future roadmap of the show, he said that JJS is planning a massive expansion in the coming five years, under which the exhibition will be increased to 2,000 booths. If expansion takes place, more space will be easily available to exhibitors. This will further strengthen JJS’s position as one of the most progressive and growth-oriented jewelery platforms in the country. During the session, Rajiv Jain also threw light on the interesting history and stories of JJS from its inception in 2003 to the present.
Earlier, a special knowledge session on the topic ‘The Allure of Navratna’ presented by GIA was organized with the objective of introducing and making the audience aware of the importance of the nine gemstones associated with the nine planets. The session explained that each gemstone has its own unique properties, energies and values, and how important it is to choose the right location and color while wearing them. The GIA panelists gave detailed information on all the nine gemstones, explaining their individual significance, connection with the planets and specific characteristics. The geographical origin of each gemstone was also highlighted during the discussion, helping the audience understand their natural formation and rarity. To make the session more effective, short informative videos were also presented, making the knowledge session not only informative but also visually attractive.
Additionally, a session was also organized on ‘The Jaipur Effect – The New Romance of Global Luxury’. This session discussed the craftsmanship, spirituality and grand beauty of Jaipur and its identity today in the times of contemporary luxury. Abhishek Haritwal, Ayush Kasliwal, Janhvi Kanawat, Ramanshi Narula and Sonal Savansukha shared their views in the session. The session was conducted by Gunjan Jain.
‘Pink Club’ featuring JJS
JJS Vice Chairman, Dinesh Khatoria said that the exclusive B2B pavilion ‘Pink Club’, started in the name of Pink City in JJS 2022, remains the specialty of JJS today. This year, Pink Club has 74 pre-fabricated booths, including 44 jewelery and 30 gemstones booths. An exclusive lounge and complimentary tea/coffee and free Wi-Fi are also being provided in the same pavilion for B2B customers.
8th Jaipur Jewelery Design Festival at JJS
JJS is hosting the Jaipur Jewelery Design Festival (JJDF) for the 8th time this year. The festival brings together design education, craftsmanship and business exposure on a single platform. The objective of this festival has been to encourage and promote jewelery designers and artisans. So that common customers can experience the manufacturing process closely and understand the skills of the artisans.
Dr. Naval Aggarwal of JJS said that this year there are 67 booths under Jaipur Jewelery Design Festival (JJDF). At JJDF 2025, leading jewelery design institutes of the country are showcasing their students’ collections and conceptual designs, along with a curated design competition based on originality and technical proficiency. During the festival, hands-on workshops based on jewelery manufacturing techniques are being conducted through live demonstrations by experts. Additionally, Budding Designer Booths provide an opportunity to young designers and start-ups to showcase their collections.
Artisans Segment in JJS
JJS Joint Secretary and JJS spokesperson, Ajay Kala said that the Artisans Pavilion curated under Jaipur Jewelery Design Festival (JJDF) has become the main attraction of the festival. In this pavilion, exquisite crafts like Kundan Meena, Theva Jewellery, Chitai Art, Gemstone Carving and Painting, Nagaland Jewelery and Gemstone Faceting and Polishing are being showcased. Master artisans from different regions of the country are presenting their traditional heritage and skills through special displays and live demonstrations, giving visitors a rare opportunity to see and understand these timeless traditional art forms up close.
JJS-Indian Jeweler Design Awards-2025
The award distribution of JJS-Indian Jeweler Design Awards-2025, an innovative of its kind by ‘Indian Jeweller’, the leading magazine of the gemstone sector in the country, was conducted by famous film actress Diana Penty in a colorful and dazzling cultural evening at ‘Atlantis Banquets, Sitapura, Jaipur. In this competition, jewelery manufacturers, retailers and designers from across the country presented their designs in 135 categories. After review, 19 best designs were selected for the award from more than 834 entries. On this occasion, Publisher and Editor of ‘Indian Jeweller’ Alok Kala said that it is a matter of special pride to hold this event in Jaipur in the 62nd year of the publication.
The program was graced by the performances of America’s Got Talent stars Divyansh and Manuraj and comedians Mubeen and Gaurav. Award Committee Convener Arpit Kala said that the winners in various categories – G.K. Chudiwala (Jaipur), Pothes Swarnmahal Pvt. Ltd (Chennai), Khurana Jewelery House (Amritsar), Kirtilals (Coimbatore), Talwarsons Jewelers (Chandigarh), Vinayaka Jewelery (Jaipur), Anan Jewels India (Mumbai), among many prestigious brands who were honoured.
