Jaipur, . Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Budget 2026-27 will take forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by ensuring overall and sustainable development of Rajasthan. He said that this budget has been made keeping in mind the three duties of rapid economic development, living up to the hopes and aspirations of the people and Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. This budget is a document of our duties towards the 8 crore people of the state.


After the State Budget 2026-27 was presented in the Assembly by Deputy Chief Minister (Finance) Diya Kumari in the Assembly on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said in a press conference that this budget, which came on the death anniversary of Antyodaya pioneer Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, is dedicated to the welfare of women, youth, laborers, deprived people, farmers and the last row person. He said that provisions have been made in the budget for facilities and services in basic sectors like electricity, water, education, medicine, including strengthening of infrastructure, which will make Rajasthan developed, prosperous and self-reliant. He said that the size of the budget for the year 2026-27 is Rs 6 lakh 10 thousand 956 crore, which is 41 percent more than the budget for the year 2023-24.

Our budget based on 10 pillars
Sharma said that the state government is rapidly fulfilling the promises made to the public. The state government had made 1441 budget announcements in Budget 2025-26, out of which 1246 announcements (86 percent) and out of 1277 announcements in Budget 2024-25, 1188 announcements (93 percent) have been implemented. He said that the Budget 2026-27 is based on the strong pillars of expansion of infrastructure, increase in quality of life through civic amenities, promotion of industrial growth and investment, empowerment of human resources, strong social security system, tourism, art and cultural heritage, good governance and digital transformation, agricultural development and farmers’ welfare, green development and environmental sustainability and creating a $4.3 trillion economy by 2047.
Per capita income exceeds Rs 2 lakh for the first time
The Chief Minister said that the economy of the state has improved rapidly due to efficient financial management. According to the estimates of this budget, the GSDP of the state is likely to be Rs 21 lakh 52 thousand 100 crore, which is about 41 percent more than 2023-24. At the same time, the per capita income is likely to be Rs 2 lakh 2 thousand 349 for the first time, which is 21.15 percent more than 2023-24. He said that in this budget, a provision of capital expenditure of Rs 53 thousand 978 crore has been made for infrastructure development, which is more than 2 times that of 2023-24. He said that a provision of Rs 32 thousand 526 crore has been made for medical and health, which is 53 percent more than 2023-24. A provision of Rs 33 thousand 476 crore has been made in the Green Budget, which is 20.81 percent more than last year.

RSTA will ensure transparency in examinations

Sharma said that Rajasthan State Testing Agency has been announced in the budget for better organization of competitive examinations. Under this, online testing centers will be developed, through which examinations can be conducted in a transparent manner. He said that the state government is continuously providing employment to the youth. In order to fulfill the resolution of 4 lakh jobs in 5 years, more than 1 lakh people have been given government appointments so far. Recruitment for 1 lakh 54 thousand posts is under process and recruitment calendar for 1 lakh has been released. At the same time, more than 2 lakh employment opportunities have been created in the private sector.
