Chennai, July 14 (). In a major reshuffle at the administrative level, the Tamil Nadu government has issued orders for transfer and new appointments of senior IAS and IPS officers. The government has clarified that all the orders will come into effect with immediate effect.
According to the order issued by the Home (Special Cell) Department, A. Arun, IPS, till now serving as Additional Director General of Police and Director in the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Directorate, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Director General of Police and Director of Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Unnamancheri, Chennai.
Meanwhile, C. Mangeshwari, IPS, who is posted as Inspector General of Police in Special Investigation Cell-1 of DVAC, has been given full additional charge of Additional Director General of Police and Director of DVAC till further orders.
Apart from this, several senior IAS officers have also been transferred under the order issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar. According to the order, H. Krishnanunni, IAS, who is currently the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, has been transferred and appointed Director, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services. He is S.P. Will replace Amrit, IAS. Shilpa Prabhakar Satish, IAS, who was till now serving as Labor Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. She will succeed Dr. P. Umanath, IAS.
Whereas, S.P. Amrit, IAS, who was till now Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation. He will succeed H. Krishnanunni.
The government has said in the order that Shilpa Prabhakar Satish and SP. The conditions related to Amrit’s foreign service deputation were as per G.O.M.S. dated 21 February 1994. No. 167 will be applicable as per the provisions of Public (Special-A) Department. This administrative reshuffle of the Tamil Nadu government is being considered an important step towards increasing efficiency in various departments and further strengthening the administrative system.
