Chandigarh. Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Anil Vij said that just as earlier in Gurukul, along with imparting education, children were made cultured, in the same way, today it is necessary for schools to make children cultured along with education. By further strengthening the education system, such a system has to be created so that every child who graduates can truly prove to be the asset of the country. Late in the evening, Vij was addressing the operators and people of educational institutions as the chief guest in the “School Excellence Award” program organized by an institute in Ambala Cantonment. Energy Minister Anil Vij said that he considers a teacher as a craftsman. Just as a craftsman gives shape to the clay he gets, in the same way a teacher also gives shape to the children, prepares them to face the upcoming challenges and gives them values. As today’s era is changing, new technology is coming. Earlier the potter used to turn the wheel with a stick, now with the help of technology he turns the wheel with electricity. Now new technologies are coming. It is also the responsibility of schools to make children proficient in computers and to advance them. Now “AI” has arrived, some people run away from technology, but they believe that we should move with it. If AI has come then what benefits can the society get from AI, how can we run ahead with its help, how can the challenges be solved, we should make our children proficient in them.
He said that the environment should also be better for the students to progress in life. We should provide a better environment to the children so that children do not have to be forcibly brought to schools, rather children come to school on their own. In earlier times, there used to be rote learning in schools through which children were prepared. But today, work is being done to advance the children through questions and answers, through conversations and by training them in different ways. He also said that through games, such devices should be prepared so that children can progress in life through sports.
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that earlier we used to get education in Gurukul but now schools have been built. There is a lot of difference between Gurukul and school. Along with education, values are also imparted to children in Gurukul. We have to make these schools Gurukul again. The work of imparting values in schools is as important as the work of giving marks. Schools need to take this important work seriously. This will definitely improve our next generation.
The country will change not by abusing politics but by preparing ‘leaders of tomorrow’ in schools – Anil Vij
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that just as we work to make our children IAS, IPS and engineers, similarly we have to prepare our children to become good leaders of tomorrow, which is needed most today. We should also include the agenda in our schools to work on what the leader of tomorrow should be. We have adopted democracy, democracy requires representatives and you should have an agenda to make representatives. We need good representatives in the future and the responsibility of producing representatives also lies on the schools. Our responsibility is not fulfilled by abusing politics.
He said that 200 entries were received for the program organized here today, out of which about 40 schools have been honored here.
Earlier today, Energy Minister Anil Vij, who arrived as the chief guest at the program, was welcomed with a flower bunch. On this occasion, the Energy Minister presented excellence awards to schools like Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Karnal etc. which have done good work in various fields.
On this occasion, Pawan Sharma, Kirat Pandey, Yogesh Midda ji, Municipal Council Chairperson Swarn Kaur, Vice Chairperson Lalta Prasad, Madan Lal Sharma, Rajeev Dimple, Vijendra Chauhan, Harsh Bindra, Ravi Budhiraja, Vikas Behgal, Mohit Kaushik, Deepak Bhasin, Vipin Khanna, along with other dignitaries were present.
