The post contained two photos: The first photo showed the user’s mother crying, upset over the heavy rains that had flooded their rented house. The second photo was of the user’s newly built house.

The woman in the first photo is my mother. That day, she was crying like a baby because our rented house was flooded due to heavy rains. And this became a breaking point for me. I belong to a lower-middle class family, and till now, we lived only in a rented house. We initially lived in a government quarter of about 300 square feet. Life was very difficult there. We didn’t even have our own bathroom, and we built a makeshift house for my mother and sister. My father and I used to use the toilet in his office because the quarters were inside his office. I hated that place every day, but I knew it was all we could do at that point.
A journey that started with tuition and small jobs
