Jaipur. Under the Chief Minister’s Budget announcement, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani inaugurated the Protection, Girnadhar and upgradation of the Government Museum, Ajmer. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that the museum is the heritage of any society. It leads ancient civilization, lifestyle, art, war skills and thinking to generations to come. He said that the maintenance of the museum is the responsibility of the government. Along with this, citizens also have the responsibility to visit these heritage sites with their family and children and keep them alive. He said that an amount of Rs 5 crore was approved for museum development works under the budget announcement, which is now landing on the ground. He said that budget provision will also be made for renewal of Heritage Library and digitization of manuscripts. A Savenier Shop should be set up in the museum to promote handmade items of local workers. This will encourage the spirit of Vocal for Local. He said that Ghoomar Utsav will be organized in the coming time. Cultural programs on historical heritage should be organized regularly. This will keep the livelihood of heritage.
He said that it is necessary to set up sign boards displaying information related to tourist places at bus stand, railway station and other public places. This will increase tourists. He called upon the citizens to promote their local tourist places on other platforms including social media.
The Speaker said that upgradation of the Government Museum will give a new direction to the historical identity of Ajmer. The museum has safe ancient manuscripts and statues of thousands of years of human civilization of thousands of years. The Indus philosophy gallery will make tourists a living experience of the oldest civilization of the world. He called it a cultural renaissance and said that the new generation will come here and get acquainted with the sacrifice and sacrifice of its ancestors. He said that the manuscripts in the museum should be digitized and preserved permanently.
He said that Ajmer is the heart of the state in terms of tourism, where there is immense potential for religious and cultural heritage as well as environmental tourism. Referring to Leopard Safari, Varun Sagar beautification, science park and other projects, they said that they will provide new options to Pushkar and Dargah tourists. This will provide employment to the local youth and touch the new heights of city development.
On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Shakti Singh Rathore, Director of Archaeological Department Pankaj Dhandra, Deputy Director Kushkanta Sharma, Circle Superintendent Neeraj Kumar Tripathi, Superintendent of Central Museum Jaipur Mahendra Kumar Nimhal and officers of various departments, public representatives and large number of citizens were present.
