Bhilwara. Recently, the police have arrested two accused in the case of rape and murder of woman Vimla Kanwar in Mangrop police station area. Police teams formed under the leadership of District Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Paras Jain and Madhav Upadhyay (IPS) have arrested the accused. According to the information, on the morning of 09.11.2025, information was received at Mangrop police station that a dead body of a woman was lying on the side of the road on Madhopura Road in Sarhad Salaria. The deceased was identified as Mrs. Vimla Kanwar, wife of Arjun Singh Rajput, age 30 years, caste Rajput, resident of Kachchi Basti, Kanwakheda police station, Kotwali district, Bhilwara. Police have registered the case and in order to further investigation, to search for unknown culprits, they obtained the footage of all the CCTV cameras between the BTS location, the date of the deceased leaving home till the date of incident and the factory and the place where the dead body was found and searched for the unknown culprits. By observing the CCTV camera footage, two boys along with the deceased, along with Mrs. Vimla Kanwar, were seen consuming liquor at an egg shop and talking to each other, and after sitting the deceased in the middle on the motorcycle, all three were seen going towards Chittor Road on the same motorcycle. Later, all three went to a deserted forest, consumed liquor and forcibly raped the deceased against her will. Due to which the deceased ran away from the accused and came running on the road. Meanwhile, he died after being hit by a tractor trolley coming in the dark. The accused dragged the deceased from the road and fled away by throwing the body in the bushes with the intention of destroying the evidence. Police also took the tractor and driver used in the incident into custody.
