Kanpur, June 21 (). Heartbreaking news has come out from Friends Colony under Chakeri police station area of Kanpur. Here on Sunday evening, three Rottweiler dogs attacked a 55-year-old woman. According to the information, these dogs are said to belong to the brother of a Congress leader. In this attack, there were 13 deep wounds on the woman’s body, which doctors have classified as very serious, i.e. Grade-3, dog bite. The victim has been referred to Hallett Hospital after first aid, where her condition remains critical.
According to the information, the accident happened when Geeta had come to this area for the first time for cooking and household work. During this time, he was attacked while on the way. The woman got badly frightened by the dog attack and started screaming. Then, hearing the screams of the woman, a gig worker who had come nearby to deliver the goods showed courage and tried to drive away the dogs by throwing bricks and stones at them. Meanwhile, children playing in the park also reached the spot with cricket bats and sticks and chased away the dogs.
According to local women, if timely help had not been provided, the incident could have been more fatal. After the accident, the victim’s daughters Bobby and Tejashwi took her to the hospital on a scooty. Geeta’s husband Jyoti Prakash works in a private company. Seema Dixit, an eyewitness to the incident and a local resident, said that when she reached the spot, the victim was bleeding and her clothes were torn due to the attack.
He immediately covered the victim’s body with his scarf and with the help of other people made arrangements to send her to the hospital immediately. Local resident Ratan Gupta said that due to these dogs there has been an atmosphere of insecurity in the area for a long time and children are afraid of going to the park. He informed that about four to six months ago, these dogs had made a five-year-old girl their victim. Gupta alleges that dogs are often left loose in public places by owners, posing a danger to passersby.
