Dubai/Berlin/Copenhagen, June 20 (IANS). Preparations for International Yoga Day are in the final stages in many countries of the world. Indian High Commissioners and Embassies present in different countries are organizing yoga sessions to give the message of staying healthy to the people.
In Dubai, yoga was done with the resolution of ‘strong women, healthy life and strong community’, while in Denmark too, diplomats and top officials gathered in a special yoga session. At the same time, preparations for the grand event are also complete at Brandenburg Gate, the heart of Germany.
This year’s theme is ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’.
Ankita Walkekar, Consul of the Consulate General in Dubai, participated in a special session organized for women, girls and girls at the Emirates Golf Club.
Keeping in mind this year’s theme, the session showcased the power of yoga to promote strength, balance, strength and overall health at every stage of life, he wrote along with pictures on social media platform X.
The Indian Embassy also made an important appeal to the seekers in Berlin. The special event will be held at the famous Brandenburg Gate of the capital. Only one day left for International Yoga Day 2026 (IYD)!
It further wrote, “Experience the spirit of Yoga by joining us for a special yoga event being held at Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate on 21st June 2026. Join us for this morning full of yoga, meditation, culture and community engagement, where we will celebrate Yoga together in the heart of Berlin.”
Denmark is also ready for yoga. The Indian Embassy in Copenhagen organized a yoga session at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The session was enthusiastically participated by Danish diplomats and other members of the Ministry.
The embassy said in a social media post that the spirit of health, mindfulness and yoga was promoted through this event.
