After separation from Urmila, Mohsin started his life afresh and got married for the second time. On the occasion of Nikah, Mohsin was seen in a white sherwani, while his bride Nidha Bhatt looked very attractive in a golden and ivory colored traditional sharara. It is noteworthy that the news of rift in the relationship between Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar came to light in the year 2024. Later it was learned that Urmila had approached the court for divorce. The two got married in a private ceremony on 4 February 2016.
Their marriage was much talked about at that time. The reason for this was that both of them belonged to different religions and there was an age difference of about 10 years between them. It is said that Mohsin and Urmila first met in the year 2014 at a function related to the family of fashion designer Manish Malhotra. After being together for almost a decade, both of them parted ways.
