2. Vitamin D deficiency in foods: Vitamin D is found in very few foods. Dr. Sethi says that eating salmon, tuna, eggs or mushrooms does not provide as much vitamin D as your skin can produce by staying in the sun for 15 minutes.

5. Sunlight is the best source: there is no source of vitamin D better than sunlight. You can naturally get 1,000-2,000 IU vitamin D by staying in the sun in the afternoon.
