Beijing, January 14 (). The US government on January 13 approved Nvidia to export its H200 artificial intelligence (AI) chips to China. After this decision, the supply of H200 chips to Chinese customers is expected to resume.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said on social media that the US government will allow Nvidia to sell H200 AI chips to China.
However, this sale will be subject to US Commerce Department approval and security scrutiny. According to the report, America will also get about 25 percent share as transaction fee from these deals.
Nvidia Chairman and CEO Jensen Huang has already said many times that China is a huge market in the field of AI. He says that China’s AI market could reach $50 billion in the next two to three years.
He has also clearly said that losing this market would be a big loss for Nvidia and America should understand that it is not the only player in the global race of AI.
