Phalodi. As per the intention of Rajasthan Government, ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign’ had a grand start on Monday from Shivsar pond of Phalodi city. During this, Kalash Yatra was taken out by women from Latiyal Mata Temple to Shivsar Pond. Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar formally inaugurated the campaign by performing puja at the lake. He made the common people pledge to save water and protect the environment. Addressing the general public, he said that the objective of the campaign is to conserve water and create awareness about its proper use. Water is like nectar, it is our collective responsibility to preserve it for the coming generations. He said that this is not just a program but a resolve to make water conservation a mass movement. While addressing, MLA Pabbaram Vishnoi said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is determined for water conservation. He appealed to the general public to conserve water sources and improve the environment through collective participation.
Phalodi District Collector Ankit Kumar Singh, while explaining the objective of Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign, said that water and environment conservation awareness activities will be organized daily in the district till June 5.
