Mumbai Actress Archana Puran Singh entered the entertainment world after completing her English Honors degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. She told that she used to be one of the teacher’s favorite students in school and the teacher wanted her to join civil services. The actress told that because she always topped the class, her teachers always advised her to join civil services. She told, “I always came first in the class and was the favorite of the teachers. My teachers always told me that you should become an IAS or an IFS. At that time, if anyone was good in studies, people automatically assumed that you would choose one of these career paths. My teachers also expected the same from me. The actress told that when she told her teachers that she wanted to become an actor and went into the film industry, Her teachers were disappointed with her. She said, “My teachers just couldn’t understand why I was giving up on a future they thought was so good. Strange, I was both my teacher’s favorite and his source of frustration.”
She further added, “Looking back now, it feels so much fun. Acting has given me love, laughter, and experiences that I never could have imagined. I hope that if any of my teachers are looking at me today, they will know that their favorite student made his own path, and that path proved to be the right one.”
The actress will soon be seen in Prime Video’s comedy-drama series ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’. This series of 7 episodes will be released on July 24. In this, Archana Puran Singh will be seen playing the role of a bold and ambitious teacher ‘Urmila Devi’.
The story of the series revolves around a troubled government school and its new headmaster, who wants to reform the school and get a chance to go to Cambridge.
Apart from Archana Puran Singh, the show also stars KK Menon, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachi Shah in important roles.
