Mumbai, March 23 (). Hardik Pandya, the star all-rounder of the Indian cricket team and captain of Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is often in the news due to his statements. A statement given at an event related to IPL 2026 has brought him back into the limelight and exposed the religious aspect of his life.
In a video related to the Mumbai Indians (MI) event that has gone viral on social media, Hardik Pandya has said that he listens to Hanuman Chalisa while traveling in his expensive car. This gives them positive energy. MI batting coach Kieron Pollard is also present with Hardik in the video.
In the video, Hardik says, “It’s so interesting that I have a Ferrari, and I still listen to Hanuman Chalisa inside the car. So it’s quite cool. God has been kind to me. I think everyone will agree with me that no song can give you as much positive energy as Hanuman Chalisa does. I am very clear about that.”
Hardik Pandya had so much to say that the fans present there started raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
Hardik Pandya was a part of Mumbai Indians from 2015 to 2021. In 2022, he moved to Gujarat Titans and made the team champion in the very first season under his captaincy. Under his captaincy, Gujarat Titans also played the final of 2023 in which they lost to CSK.
Hardik is back in Mumbai in 2024. He was appointed captain of the team in place of Rohit Sharma. MI’s performance that season was very disappointing. MI finished at the bottom (tenth position) in the points table. MI’s performance showed improvement in IPL 2025. The team reached the playoffs.
Mumbai Indians have not won the IPL title after 2020. Under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, the team’s aim is to win the title this time. Let us tell you that Mumbai Indians has won the IPL title five times and Rohit Sharma has been the captain every time.
