Mayor Balendra Shah supported the movement started on Facebook under the leadership of Jane-G. He said that this movement is of Jane-G and he became older. He hopes that the movement will attract attention to both the restrictions on corruption and digital freedom.
After this, social media users came in support of him. People started demanding him to resign from the post of Mayor of Kathmandu, form a new political party and handle national leadership. They say that not now or never.
Balendra Shah has already opposed the Nepal government with his statements. Not only this, he has also spewed poison against India. While advocating Akhand Nepal, Balendra Shah once described the Nepal’s fierce government and the court as a slave of India. He refused to follow the permission of the High Court to show Om Raut’s film ‘Adipurush’ in theaters of Kathmandu.
Balendra had said that when it comes to the sovereignty and independence of his country, he will not accept any law. Balendra claimed that Sita has been called the daughter of India in ‘Adipurush’. Until this dialogue is removed from the film, he will not allow the film to run in Kathmandu, while Sita’s birth place is in Nepal.
