Agra, January 9 (). Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said about Ji Ram Ji that this law will strengthen the infrastructure of villages, effectively curb corruption and convert MNREGA into a smart village model.
He said that under the Act, rural workers will now get guaranteed employment for 125 days instead of 100 and payment will be weekly. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a press conference at Circuit House in Agra on Friday and gave information about the provisions and benefits of Ji Ram Ji Act-2025.
He said that through this Act, a clear roadmap for developed India, developed Uttar Pradesh and developed villages has been prepared. Gram Panchayats will be classified into A, B and C categories based on development parameters, so that all villages get equal development opportunities. The Deputy Chief Minister said that PM Gati Shakti, GIS and other IT tools will be used for better planning of villages. Job cards will be made for three years and digital technologies like biometrics, GIS mobile app and face reading will be implemented to ensure transparency.
He clarified that NGOs will no longer have a role in this Act, which will make it possible to effectively control corruption. Keshav Maurya said that now not only boundary walls but also kitchen shed and laboratory construction will be allowed in schools. The solution to the problems of rural roads, drains, drainage and flood affected areas will be ensured through this Act. This law will pave the way for the prosperity of about 70 percent of the country’s population.
After this, the Deputy Chief Minister reached the huge village Chaupal organized at Pantikheda Gram Panchayat, Fatehabad, Agra. He visited the Sati Mata temple and inaugurated the village chaupal, inspected the stalls of various departments and inaugurated the community hall built at a cost of about Rs 25 lakh.
Addressing the villagers, the Deputy Chief Minister said that now the streets of villages will also shine like cities. Employment opportunities will be created in every village and in the coming time, 10-20 ‘Lakhpati Didis’ will be ready. He appealed to purify the voter list and urged the youth who have completed 18 years to register their names.
