Foreign investors once again spoiled the mood of the Indian market, Nifty fell 176 points to close at 25,877 on Thursday. In the US market, the Nasdaq fell 377 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 109 points. SGX Nifty is up 30 points, indicating an opening in the green. Technically, profit booking in the range of 26,100 looks dominant while immediate support exists in the range of 25,800 which should be considered today.
Foreign investors are currently influencing the market the most. FIIs sold ₹3,077 crore in the cash market yesterday, i.e. a total of ₹9,047 crore in cash, indices and futures. DIIs also made purchases worth ₹2,470 crore in the cash market yesterday. The Fed chief did not give any clear indication of interest rate cut in December, due to which the dollar index strengthened and the rupee fell by 50 paise. The decline was also supported by withdrawals from foreign institutional investors (FIIs). Short-term market sentiment remains positive.
