This month—especially March—is full of holidays. This week alone, banks are going to remain closed for a total of four days in different states. Festivals like Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa are falling in this week. Keeping this in view, it would be better to check the list of bank holidays before visiting any bank branch. Although you can easily do most of the banking related tasks online from the comfort of your home, certain transactions, such as depositing large sums of money or applying for a loan, require visiting a bank branch. Let us take a look at the upcoming dates in March when banks will remain closed.

When will banks remain closed?
March 17: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.
March 19: Banks will remain closed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Telugu New Year and Sajibu Nongmapanba.
March 20: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Jamaat-ul-Vida.
March 21: Banks will remain closed in Assam, Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Meghalaya on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
March 22: Banks will remain closed across the country because this day is Sunday.
March 26: Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami.
March 27: Banks will remain closed in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami.
March 28: There will be a holiday in banks on this day, because it is the fourth Saturday of the month.
March 29: There will be a public holiday in banks across the country as it is a Sunday. March 31: Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

Banks closed for four days this week
Banks will remain closed for four days in different zones this week. Banks will remain closed at many places on March 19 due to Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Telugu New Year and Sajibu Nongmapanba. Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on March 20 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Jamaat-ul-Vida. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in most of the states on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 21. Also, March 22 will be a public holiday for banks across the country as it is a Sunday.
