On Wednesday, April 22, an upward trend is being seen in the prices of gold and silver in the domestic futures market. Both gold and silver showed strong gains in the early hours of trading. At the time of writing this report, the gold futures contract expiring on June 5, 2026, was trading with gains of around ₹1,450 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). On MCX, gold futures opened at ₹153,335 (per 10 grams). On the previous trading day, gold had closed at ₹151,671 on MCX. At around 9:55 am, gold futures were trading at ₹153,100, up 0.94 per cent. On MCX, the silver futures contract expiring on May 5, 2026, is trading 1.57 per cent higher, or ₹3,850. Silver started the trading day at ₹248,717. During the day’s trading session, silver hit an all-time high of ₹249,423. In Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, 10 grams of silver is currently selling at ₹2,650. At the same time, customers will have to pay ₹ 26,500 to buy 100 grams of silver. In Chennai, the price of 10 grams of silver is currently trading at ₹2,749.
