The central government has once again announced a huge increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. The new rates have come into effect from today, which will have a direct impact on hotels, restaurants and businessmen. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹ 218. As a result, prices have increased in different cities. Now a cylinder will be costlier by ₹ 194 in Delhi, ₹ 203 in Chennai, ₹ 196 in Mumbai and ₹ 218 in Kolkata. However, this time there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
New prices after increase
After this increase, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from ₹1,884.50 to ₹2,078.50. In Kolkata, a 19 kg cylinder now costs ₹2,208. In Mumbai, the price has reached ₹2,031. In Chennai, this cylinder will now be available for ₹2,246.50. In Patna, the rate of commercial LPG cylinder has increased to ₹2,365, while in Jaipur the price has reached ₹2,031.
Prices had increased on March 7 also
Earlier, on March 7, the prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders were increased. At that time, domestic cylinders became costlier by ₹60 and commercial cylinders by ₹114.50. After that hike, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder in Delhi increased from ₹853 to ₹913. This is the second time in less than a year that prices have increased. Earlier, there was also an increase of ₹50 in April 2025.

The increase in LPG prices will have a direct impact on the pockets of the common man. As commercial cylinders become expensive, hotel and restaurant owners may increase the prices of food items. This means that ordering food from outside may now be more expensive than before. Gas prices have seen considerable fluctuations due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States.
