Every year, lakhs of farmers across the country get the benefit of a special government scheme called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers get financial assistance of ₹6,000 every year. This amount is not given all at once, but is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers in three installments of ₹2,000 each. This money is very important for the farmers. There are many expenses in farming like seeds, fertilizers, medicines, irrigation and labour. This amount helps in the farming season. Now, farmers are waiting for the 22nd installment and want to know when the money will come to their accounts and whether they will get its benefits.
When can the 22nd installment come?
So far 21 installments of this scheme have been released. The 21st installment was sent to the farmers’ accounts in November 2025. It is expected that the 22nd installment may be released in the last week of February 2026 or early March. However, no official date has been announced yet by the government. In previous years, installments were released at the end of February, so this time also the money is likely to arrive around the same time.
Which farmers will not get money?
The government has made it clear that installment payment can be stopped if certain conditions are not fulfilled. These include not completing e-KYC, not creating Kisan ID, not linking Aadhaar with bank account, wrong information in bank account or not updating land records. If any of these are missing, the installment money will not be credited to your account.
How to check whether you will get money or not?
1. You can check the status of your installment sitting at home. To do this, first go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Click on Know Your Status or Beneficiary Status.
3. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number or registration number.
4. Enter captcha and click on Search.
5. After this, information about your previous installment, status of your next installment and your e-KYC status will appear on the screen.
