SBI, the country’s largest public sector bank, has always given priority to the convenience of its customers. On Friday, the bank issued an advisory to its customers informing them that its employees are on a two-day strike and also asked what steps customers should take if they need to do banking related work.

Bank issued advisory
A post was shared from the bank’s official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account, informing customers that efforts are being made to continue essential banking services at the bank’s branches even during the strike. However, to minimize any inconvenience, the bank has advised customers to use other methods of banking. The post reads: “Please note that the All India State Bank of India Staff Federation (AISBISF) has given a two-day strike notice on May 25 and 26, 2026. We are making our best efforts to ensure that essential services remain available to customers at our branches.” Following this, the Bank made certain requests to its customers, which are outlined in three main points:

* Use ATM/ADWM for cash requirement.
* Use Customer Service Points (CSPs).
* Give priority to Internet Banking, YONO, Mobile Banking, UPI and other digital platforms.
Following this, the bank also apologized for any inconvenience caused to customers.

It is worth noting that State Bank of India employees are on a two-day strike on 25th and 26th May. Before this, May 23 and 24 are falling on Saturday and Sunday, and immediately after the strike, there will be a bank holiday for Eid. As a result, SBI branches will remain closed for a total of six consecutive days. If there are any tasks related to your bank branch, you are advised to complete them in advance.
