This year there is a lot of confusion regarding the dates of Holi and Dhulandi. Therefore, people also want to know when will be the Holi holidays in the stock market. According to the holiday calendar of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stock markets will remain closed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. There will be no trading or settlement operations in the equity, equity derivatives and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments on this day. Regular trading on both the exchanges will resume on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

After Holi, there will be two more holidays in the stock market in March. The stock market will remain closed on March 26 due to Ram Navami. Markets will also remain closed on 31st March due to Mahavir Jayanti. After this, the stock market will remain closed on 3 April on account of Good Friday and on 14 April on account of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti. There are two stock market holidays in May also. Markets will remain closed on 1 May due to Maharashtra Day and on 28 May due to Bakrid.

When will there be holiday in commodity market on Holi?

The morning session of the commodity market will be closed on Tuesday, but the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will keep its evening session open. This session will run from 5:00 pm to 11:55 pm. In contrast, India’s leading agricultural commodities platform, the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), will remain closed for the entire day.
