Today is the first weekly expiry of Nifty in December. The market is currently consolidating in the lifetime high range above Rs 26,000. On Monday, Nifty made a new lifetime high of 26,325 in intraday and finally fell 27 points to close at 26,175. Global market signals are also negative today. The five-day rise in the US market stopped. A huge fall of 427 points was recorded in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The fall of 25 points in SGX Nifty indicates that the market may remain weak today.
Foreign investors also sold yesterday. FIIs sold ₹1,171 crore in the cash market yesterday, while DIIs bought ₹2,558 crore. The rupee continues to fall and is at a lifetime low. The technical setup of the market remains positive, and support lies in the 26,150-26,100 range.
