Ranchi: Tata Steel is planning to invest Rs 10,000 crore in its various projects in Jharkhand by 2028. This will create 2,000 jobs directly and indirectly.
The company aims to increase the steel making capacity in India from the current 27.3 million tonnes per annum to 40 million tonnes by expanding capacity and adopting low-carbon steel manufacturing methods. Tata Steel will install modern technologies like ‘EasyMelt’ and ‘Hisarna’ with an investment of Rs 7,000 crore to reduce carbon emissions and save energy.
At the same time, the tinplate division will be expanded at a cost of Rs 2600 crore. The state-of-the-art combi mill project will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1500 crore. It is said that through this investment, Tata Group will strengthen the industrial ecosystem of Jharkhand.
Will play a leading role in strengthening as well as sustainable and modern manufacturing.
