While the trend in the Asian market is positive, selling by foreign investors continues; Yesterday, FIIs sold shares worth ₹5,555 crore in the cash market, while DIIs bought shares worth ₹5,165 crore.
Is today a ‘do or die’ day for Nifty?
The gaps of April 7 (Armistice Day) and April 8 were important for Nifty.
On April 7, Nifty touched a high of 23,153 and closed at 23,123.
On June 3, Nifty filled this gap by touching a low of 23,151.
Yesterday it closed at the closing level of 23,123 on April 7.
Nifty has filled both intraday and closing gaps.
A close below 23,000 would indicate major weakness.

HDFC Securities Deputy Vice President Nandish Shah said that Nifty closed with a decline yesterday. Rupee weakened by 77 paise due to rising tensions with Iran. Currently the index is trading below its main moving average. At present, Nifty is facing resistance at 23,300, while support is at 23,070. If this support level is broken, the index is likely to move towards the range of 22,700-22,800.
