This price hike has come into effect from January 1, 2026, across the country, including major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Oil companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by up to Rs 111 per cylinder. However, there is no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic LPG gas cylinder.

In Kolkata, the price has been increased from Rs 1684 to Rs 1795. Similarly, in Mumbai, LPG cylinder, which was priced at Rs 1531.50, now costs Rs 1642.50, and in Chennai, the price has been increased from Rs 1739.50 to Rs 1849.50.

Cylinder prices were reduced in December
Earlier, on the first day of December, the last month of the year, the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders were also changed, and the prices were reduced. Commercial LPG cylinder prices were reduced across the country from December 1, 2025. In Delhi and Kolkata the price was reduced by Rs 10, while in Mumbai and Chennai it was reduced by Rs 11.

Not only in December 2025, but also on the first day of November, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were reduced, making them cheaper in all cities. This was the second consecutive month that prices were reduced. However, on November 1, the price of 19 kg cylinder was reduced from Rs 1595.50 to Rs 1590 in Delhi, from Rs 1700.50 to Rs 1694 in Kolkata, from Rs 1547 to Rs 1542 in Mumbai and from Rs 1754.50 to Rs 1750 in Chennai.
