Today (Tuesday, June 9) a heated debate took place in the Patna Civil Court on the anticipatory bail application of Faisal Khan – popularly known as ‘Khan Sir’. Khan sir is an accused in the firing incident that took place outside the ‘Khan Global Studies’ coaching centre. Khan Sir’s lawyer Arvind Kumar Mavwar had sought bail, which was opposed by the Patna Police. However, the district court gave a big relief to Faizal Khan by staying his arrest. The court granted him interim protection; This means that he has been given protection from arrest till the final decision on his bail plea and during this time Patna Police cannot take him into custody.

The police were continuously conducting raids to arrest them, even though they were absconding. Khan sir had filed the anticipatory bail application through video conferencing on Monday. While hearing the application, the court stayed his arrest.
