National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Undergraduate (UG) 2026. NTA released the final answer key late on Monday evening and then released the final results on Tuesday afternoon. Candidates can now check and download their scorecard by visiting the official website of NTA, cuet.nta.nic.in. On the basis of CUET UG 2026 score, admission is given to undergraduate courses in more than 47 universities. After the declaration of results, these universities will soon start their respective admission processes. Here’s how you can check CUET UG 2026 result, provisional answer key, marking scheme and exam dates.
**How to check results**
First of all, visit the official website cuet.nta.nic.in.
Click on the link ‘CUET UG Result 2026’ visible on the homepage of the website.
A new webpage will open; Log in by entering your application number and password or date of birth.
Enter the captcha code and submit.
Scorecard will appear on the screen.
Download it and save it for future.
**Information given in scorecard**
The scorecard contains information like candidate’s name, application number, subject-wise marks, percentile score, normalized marks and qualification status. If any mistake is found, it is important to contact the relevant authorities. Admission to undergraduate courses in universities is given on the basis of these marks.
**Understanding the Marking Scheme**
CUET UG 2026 was a computer-based MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) examination. Candidates get 5 marks for every correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are given for questions without answers. If any question is found wrong and subsequently omitted, marks may be awarded to the eligible candidates as per the prescribed rules.
**CUET UG was to be held between 11th May to 7th June**
CUET UG was originally scheduled to be held between May 11 and May 31. The exam mostly took place as per the same schedule, but the paper scheduled for May 28 was postponed due to Bakrid and was later held on June 6 and 7. CUET UG was conducted in 321 cities in India and abroad. Examinations were conducted for a total of 37 subjects, which included 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects and General Aptitude Test (GAT).
**Provisional answer key released on 9th June**
The provisional answer key for CUET UG was released on June 9. Before releasing the final answer key, NTA had released the provisional answer key, question paper and recorded answers on June 9. Candidates were given the opportunity to challenge any wrong answer after paying the prescribed fee for each objection.
