Indira Gandhi National Open University has released the revised date letter for December 2025 session and examination and has announced the exam date for all subjects. According to the revised date letter, the examinations of the December session will be held from 1 December 2025 to 14 January 2026. Exams will be conducted in two shifts
Let us tell you that the examinations will be conducted by IGNOU in two shifts. The first shift exam will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm and the second shift exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. The timing of some subjects can be of two hours.
Online application for December session starts
IGNOU has opened a portal to submit the online form for the December session. Students can apply till 6 October 2025 without late fee to appear in the December examination. Applications can be filled with late fees from 7 to 20 October. Students can go to the Samarth portal and fill the online application form. For any information or problem, students can contact termendexam@ignou.ac.in.
The admit card will be available a few days before the exam date
The admit cards of the candidates for the examination will be made available by IGNOU for download a few days before the exam date. After the admit card is available, the candidates will be able to get the admit card by entering the user name and password from the official website. Note that the admit cards will not be sent to any candidate personally.
Downloading of admit card
To download the IGNOU admit card, first go to the official website ignou.samartha.edu.in. On the website, you have to enter the user name, password and code given in sign in sign and click on the login button. After this your admit card will open on the screen from where you can download it and take a printout of it. All the candidates should keep in mind that whenever they go to the examination center, they must take a copy of their admit card. Without the admit card, you will not be given admission in the examination hall and in such a situation you can be deprived of taking the exam.
